About HVLG
As the one-stop shop for the most comprehensive selection of lighting, we seek to inspire and support
interior designers in their pursuit to achieve a home that perfectly reflects their clients. We take a
designer-forward approach to the light-purchasing process — making the experience more inspiring, exciting, and inviting.
At HVLG, we believe that great lighting has the power not to just elevate any space, but enrich people’s lives — and it’s that guiding philosophy that ties our family of brands together.

At an early age, David Littman saw how beauty could transform your experience of the everyday. His mother had a passion for antiques,
and he would join her ‘treasure hunts’ for them, learning about quality and the importance of details along the way. An aesthetic person,
David carried this insight into a pursuit of excellence with the lighting company he created in the 1980s. With an infectious enthusiasm
for the intersecting worlds of art, business, and design, David’s entrepreneurial spirit presided over nearly four decades of growth and
recognition for his company, Hudson Valley Lighting, and the companies he acquired and revitalized in the early 2000s: Corbett Lighting
and Troy Lighting. With the creation of Mitzi by HVL and the construction of new facilities in recent years, David is not sitting behind
a desk as Founder and President, but remains heavily involved in the day-to-day operations and long-term vision of the
Hudson Valley Lighting Group.
A Lighting Family
David's history in lighting actually dates back many years before his own birth. In 1939, William Littman, a Brooklyn-based inventor and
David's grandfather, was greatly inspired by the fluorescent lighting introduced to the mainstream building industry at the New York
World's Fair. By 1947, what began as a garage-based business had grown substantially and the Littman family moved upstate to expand
operations in the Hudson River Valley. David's own apprenticeship to the lighting industry began when he was in high school and
started working in the warehouse of his father's commercial lighting factory. Though David soon moved to Boston to attend BU and
earn a Bachelor's in Accounting, he returned each summer to resume duties in the family business. After graduating from
George Washington in 1985 with an MBA in finance, David decided to come home and build his career in Orange County.
At only twenty-three, David took the helm of his own business in the Newburgh, NY location where Hudson Valley Lighting
continued to reside for the next three decades before moving to Wappingers Falls.
We design and build beautiful fixtures for people who put quality first—for people who are not willing to trade off that increasingly rare characteristic.

Low Stock Warning
We're sorry, but we are no longer going to carry some of the items in your cart and have limited stock. We have changed the quantities for the items below:
Dear Customer,
As you all are aware, as of 5/10/2019 an additional 15% tariff has been imposed on a number of
products, including light fixtures. This tariff is on top of the 10% tariff that was imposed in January 2019.
We are doing our best to absorb as much of that tariff as possible. However, as of August 1st, we needed to implement a 10% price increase for all our products.
If additional tariffs are implemented in the future, we will review our pricing again at that time.
Sincerely,
David Littman
Founder & CEO
Important Message
HVLG Customers,
2022 has been a great year for us, and we’re so thrilled you’ve been a part of it. With continued growth, comes the need to
modernize our internal systems to best serve you. We have invested in a large system update to ensure a smoother, faster, and
easier HVLG experience. Due to this update, our systems will be down from December 1st through December 6th. What does this mean for you?
HVLG will not be able to ship new orders during this time.
We can accept orders, but not process or ship them. Orders will be processed in the order they were received post-go-live. Existing orders that have to be re-entered will be processed first.
All orders must be submitted by November 30th at 2 pm EST/ 11 am PST to meet our system update cut-off deadline. Our goal is to ship all in-stock orders placed before these times.
Our website will still be available to view product details, stock status, and pricing, but we will not be accepting online orders.
You can track existing orders on hvlgroup.com. We cannot guarantee orders placed on 11/30 will be available for online tracking through our website.
We cannot accept payments or returns.
Our wonderful Account Management team will still be available to resolve any issues, but please note they are working with limited capabilities.
Once our updates are complete, we will have a brand new, state-of-the-art system and website.
Don’t worry, the website will have a new look and feel, and be smoother and faster, but the same functionality will exist. You will also see a
new “My Account” page where you can easily track orders, submit payments, and begin the returns process.
Questions? Concerns? Please reach out to your HVLG Account Manager or Sales Rep. We appreciate your patience, understanding, and continued support! We cannot wait to show you the new and improved HVLG.
