New York-based interior design firm Pembrooke & Ives curates intuitive, bespoke, and luxurious interiors that are designed to fundamentally and beautifully improve the experiences of the people who inhabit them. Design Director Brigitte Coleman spearheaded the creation of the 6-family lighting collection with us. Each piece is a nod to classic design with a modern spin.

Q: What was your inspiration behind this collection?
"We drew inspiration from custom fixtures we’ve designed for our interior projects. One of our specialties at Pembrooke & Ives is making deceptively simple designs. Clean details that look effortless can be the most complicated to pull off. There’s so much work and problem-solving going on behind the scenes and the results are refined and luxurious. The same philosophy was applied to our collection for Hudson Valley Lighting. The designs are effortlessly elegant."
Q: What was the creative process like?
"We started the design process as a charette that our team was invited to participate in. I didn’t give too many parameters other than that it should speak to the Pembrooke & Ives brand and to think about how this will eventually need to be made in a factory setting. It was exciting to see everyone’s disparate ideas come together into a cohesive collection. Translating our team’s specialty in custom fabrication into commercially viable products designed for a mass audience was one of the most interesting and challenging parts of the collaboration. The limits pushed our creativity and problem-solving. Seeing the results was so satisfying!"
The collection includes the elegant Litton sconce, the charm-like Perrin Sconce and Pendant, the sleek Blyford Pendant and flush mount, the vintage-inspired Griston Pendant, wall sconce, and chandelier and the modern Glenmoore Chandelier, and the whimsical Tring Chandelier.
