When our design team approaches each collection, they envision how the finished product will live in a space. More than trend forecasting, it’s about understanding how lighting design can elevate the total design experience. With Creative Director Ben Marshall at the helm, Hudson Valley Lighting has continued to deliver the best in lighting, creating pieces that reflect the current and future state of design. For the latest launch, Ben conjured a vision of coastal bliss, creating a captivating setting that reimagines the traditional concept of coastal design. Dive in.

What’s not to love about this seaside retreat? The space blends the comforts of a 5-star luxury hotel with the curated feel of a private home. From the oak-lined ceiling to the impressive fireplace, this serene bedroom is brought to life with contemporary accents. The linen pendant brings a bit of coastal elegance to the room, featuring sleek brass metalwork and wrapped rattan for a look that is warm yet modern.

Sculptural works bring organic forms from nature indoors. At the intersection of hard and soft, you'll find Harbor Park. Delicate, round shapes are intentionally carved within smooth pieces of a hard, stone-like material. The result is a form that is both tranquil and thought-provoking. The satin ivory finish adds to the peacefulness of this table lamp.

A pair of alabaster wall sconces flank the fireplace. Natural yet modern, Budnick blends forms and materials with steady ease. The juxtaposition of round and square, aged brass and alabaster is the type of material mastery we have come to love. Available as a 1-light, 3-light, and 5-light wall fixture, the real beauty comes from the warm ambient glow which emanates from every angle of the alabaster shell.

With the ocean as a backdrop, the space called for a more quiet hanging fixture that would let the seascape shine in all its natural beauty. A new take on the classic globe light, Hempstead features a trio of metal rods suspended at different heights within the glass dome.

A trio of vanity lights flank a pair of slim mirrors, creating a welcome design moment above the sleek floating vanity. The very definition of minimalism, less is truly more with Ellington. The sculpted metal collar doubles as a backplate, attaching the sconce directly to the wall without the need for any additional adornment. The real focus of this fixture is the alabaster tube shade. Equally as beautiful unlit, the alabaster gives off a gorgeous, soft glow when filled with light. This smooth and stylish sconce comes in aged brass or polished nickel finishes.
