A few frigid months are upon us, as the chilliest time of the year stretches from late November to early March. While we recommend seasonal hot chocolate, warm spiced apple cider, fresh-from-the-dryer blankets, and faux fur-lined slippers, we also suggest embracing it with our ice-inspired pendants.
We make the most of a frozen aesthetic with four selections that are simultaneously timeless and in-season: Amadeus, Enchanted, Piemonte, and Cielo. Each pendant uses a unique arrangement of textured glass and metal to create an enduring wintry composition. Amadeus highlights Italian crystal drops, Enchanted foregrounds Murano crystals, Piemonte displays textured glass panels, and Cielo uses piastra glass with inlaid gold – all integrating conversation-worthy see-through materials into a distinct design.
Amadeus brings dazzling European elegance that dramatically elevates a hospitality or living space. Made of handcrafted iron and covered with a Vienna bronze finish, Amadeus features Italian crystal drops that glisten from light cast by 60-watt candelabra-base lights.
The handcrafted iron branches of Enchanted create a beautiful form that casts a captivating silhouette on the wall and ceiling. The sculptural branches are hand-finished in a warm enchanted silver leaf – a silver finish that has been stained to soften the metallic sheen. A dimmable LED is concealed within the fixture’s base, shining a magical glow upward and accenting the handmade Murano crystal drops in fire-polished glass, which beautifully refract the light.
Handmade, textured glass panels silhouette graceful, sculptural branches in the Piemonte collection – resulting in a piece as beautiful inside as out. Piemonte’s branches are hand-forged from wrought iron and finished in rich royal gold. Its glass is etched with a pattern reminiscent of tree bark, adding to the naturalistic, wood-like theme of the piece.
Derived from the Italian word for “heavenly,” Cielo is Corbett Lighting’s imaginative take on a Venetian chandelier. Cielo’s modernized form features floating glass arms extending from a simple silver leaf ring that seems to delicately bring balance and structure to the fixture. The curvy arms are handmade by masters of craft in Venice, using piastra glass embedded and infused with 24K gold. As the molten glass cools, the artisans use tools to bend out the leafy forms by hand. The result is an organic yet systematic pattern with natural variances – each one as unique as the clouds in the sky. The fixture is suspended by micro-aircraft cables from a decorative Italian piastra glass canopy ring, creating an appearance as if the illuminated cluster is floating in mid-air.
